Tamil Nadu has become the first state in the country to allow 100% occupancy in the theaters following a request of Thalapathy Vijay. After the neighboring state government has accepted it, the Telugu film trade also grew interested.
Telugu film producers council (TFPC) wrote a letter to the Governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for an increase of occupancy of seats in Cinema Theatres and Multiplexes in both the states from 50% to 100% ahead of the Sankranthi Season.
“The theater managements are not able to meet the necessary expenditure for maintenance of theaters and therefore incurring losses,” the TFPC cited the reason for the request. It has to be seen if the governments give such permission against the advice of the experts.Follow @THEPANIPURI
