Kangana Ranaut’s Thalaivi has completed its shooting part and the movie is in post-production phase. The movie is being made in multiple languages and right now, the Telugu dubbing works are going on. The film was earlier scheduled to release on June 26, 2020 but due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the release date has changed.
The release date will be announced once States of Rajasthan and Jharkhand open the theaters. The biopic covers Jayalalithaa’s journey to emerging as one of the biggest stars and ends with her becoming the chief minister of Tamil Nadu for the first time.
To ensure that Kangana need not put on weight, the later days were not be shown in the film. AL Vijay is directing the film in which Arvind Swami is set to play the role of MGR. The initial promotions of the film evoked a negative response. Tamil Nadu is going for Assembly Elections this Summer and the movie is likely to release before that.Follow @THEPANIPURI
