NTR's Heroine Joins Politics

Actress Payal Gosh who appeared in Prayanam as the lead heroine played a little role in NTR’s Oosaravelli. The actress recently made rape allegations on Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap while auditioning for a film a few years ago. She had on September 23 lodged a complaint at suburban Versova police station accusing Kashyap of sexual harassment in 2013.

Kashyap vehemently denied the actor’s allegation and termed it as an attempt to “silence” him for his outspoken views. Now, the actress surprised everyone by joining politics. The actress has joined the Republican Party of India (Athawale) in Mumbai on Monday.

The party is an ally of BJP and is a part of the NDA Government at the center. Ramdas Athawale, the President of the party is a Union Minister. She joined the party in the presence of party chief and Union minister Ramdas Athawale and has been named as the vice president of the women’s wing of RPI (A).
