Punchline: Decent Horror Comedy!

Vijay Deverakonda, who finishes his college is on the lookout for a job and visits his babai in Hyderabad and asks him to find a job. After few failed trials he decides to be a cab driver and asks his brother to help him out in buying a car. He buys a second hand car and signs up for Ola and starts taking rides. He meets the heroine Priyanka in a ride and they both get along well and falls in love. Vijay observes some weird things happening in the car and comes to a conclusion that there is a ghost in the Car. Rest of the story is how did the ghost end up in the car? Is it really a ghost? Who are the culprits behind the whole incident?

Artistes’ Performances:

  • Vijay Deverakonda’s performance is just okay
  • Priyanka Jawalkar is just a namesake heroine and doesn’t have much role
  • Vishnu Oi is definitely a good find. He did pretty good job
  • Malavika Nair fits the bill

  • Good Concept
  • Decent Comedy
  • Songs

  • No Strong Flashback Episode
  • Dragged Climax & Pre-Climax

Vijay Deverakonda, who is the new sensation in Tollywood shot to fame in very short duration. Though his latest outing NOTA wasn’t a hit he did raise the expectations on Taxiwaala and managed to bring pretty good openings. Rahul Sankrityan did a pretty decent job and keeps you engaged for the most part. For Vijay D fans, they may not have anything to rave about his performance. Vishnu Oi is a new find for comedy and he is bound to get more roles. The movie lost its track in the later part of 2nd half and makes you feel bored. Overall, Taxiwaala is a decent watch and brings you out of Amar Akbar Anthony hangover.
