LV Prasad introduces NTR to film industry and he then slowly becomes a super star with many hit films. His journey through various blockbuster films like Dana Veera Sura Karna, Pathala Bhairavi, etc are showcased well. Suddenly, there will be floods near his native place and lot of people will lose lives and it triggers a thought to serve people, he then announces to join politics and movie ends on a note with NTR announcing Telugu Desam Party.

Artistes’ Performances:

  • Balayya did justice to the role and suited well. Not easy to enact legendary NTR
  • Vidya Balan acted well too and fits the bill
  • Daggubati Raja as NTR’s brother acted well
  • Rest all cameos are just okay

Positives:

  • Balayya’s Performance
  • Dialogues are pretty good
  • Background Score is good
  • Few Elevation Scenes ( Balayya Babu’s get up as Lord Srikrishna, climax scene of announcing political party)

Negatives:

  • No Emotional Connect to the film
  • Lengthy first half
  • Too many medleys, feels like bits and pieces

Analysis:

NTR Kathanayakudu, the most awaited movie of 2019 and the biopic on legendary NTR has hit the screens today. There were many expectations on the film and the posters and trailers even took the expectations to next level. Movie got immense craze after Krish came on board. Movie starts off well and loses its track in later part of 1st half. As the makers have tried to recreate many medleys, it feels like patches all over. First half is really lengthy and you will no where emotionally connect to the character. Second half starts off well and the tempo is maintained in 2nd half and ends well. Overall, NTR fans may like the film but for others it is just a one time watch
