Punchline: Tests Your Patience!

Mithai is the story of two laid back easy going friends. Rahul Ramakrishna, who is frustrated with his 9-5 IT job and Priyadarshi who haven’t figured out what to do in life yet. These two are best buddies from childhood and they set to celebrate Rahul’s bachelor party and get drunk. On reaching home, they realize someone broke into their home and steal some valuables including the necklace that Rahul wants to gift to his wife to be. Rest of the story is how these two will find the necklace and the one who stole it. Movie will also have a message in the end that it is perfectly okay not to achieve anything in the life and just to chill.

Artistes’ Performances:

  • Rahul Ramakrishna fits the bill
  • Priyadarshi is okay too
  • Rest all doesn’t have much screen time

  • Few comedy scenes in First half

  • Irritating Screenplay
  • Low Production Values
  • Confusing Story & Subplots
  • Second Half

Mithai that generated decent buzz before the release with its promos has hit screens today. Movie is directed by debutante Prashant Kumar. The director wasted two great performers Rahul Ramakrishna and Priyadarshi and couldn’t use them to their full potential. Movie hardly generates any laughs barring few scenes in first half. Movie screenplay tests your patience and even songs doesn’t give any relief. Overall, Mithai is a film where experimentation has gone awry.
