Artistes’ Performances:

  • Ram was at his best and his energy levels are amazing. His best performance till date
  • Nabha Natesh was just okay
  • Nidhi Agerwal did justice to her role
  • Satya Dev had a brief role and he did well too

Positives:

  • Ram’s Performance
  • Songs and Ram’s Dance moves
  • BGM

Negatives:

  • Poor Screenplay
  • Dragged Narration in 2nd Half
  • Unnecessarily loud and forced Telangana slang

Analysis:

Ismart Shankar has raised expectations with its promos and especially chartbuster songs. Everyone was eagerly waiting for Puri-Ram combo to bounce back. Puri known for his hero centric characterization has come up with a different avatar for Ram and he just nailed the performance. Ram energy levels are amazing and his performance will be remembered for long time. However, the movie has its own flaws with narration and it makes you feel like movie is loud just for the sake of being loud. There are many meaningless scenes that distract the flow and even you predict the climax very easily. Mani Sharma needs a special mention as his songs ups the tempo of the movie and his BGM in the climax scene is one of the best in recent times. Overall, Ismart Shankar is an average fare that may work in B, C centers for its commercial elements like Songs and Expletives.
