Punchline: ‘Emotional Torture’

Balu (Kalyanram), is fond of relations and believes in spreading love and affection from his childhood. He loses his parents in an accident and will be raised in boys hostel with Naresh as guardian. Mehreen (Naresh’s daughter) and Balu are childhood friends and Mehreen likes Balu since their childhood days. After 20 years, Balu starts a company “All is well” emotion suppliers company, which provides people in need with a relationship they desire. The company starts flourishing and they get into some relations that get complicated and get them into trouble. Rest of the story is how they solve the problems in some relations and how in the end everyone come together for Balu

Artistes’ Performances:

  • Kalyanram did a decent job

  • Mehreen was just okay

  • Naresh, Vennela Kishore, Sudarshan, and Praveen tried bringing some laughs

  • Rest all had brief roles and no one stands out

  • Absolutely Nothing

  • Forced Emotions. You get to a point where you are irritated with emotions

  • Concept of supplying emotions didn’t work out

  • Songs. Poor Songs and they derail the flow

  • Comedy didn’t work and looks forced too

  • Too much of melodrama

Entha Manchivadavura makers took the risk of releasing the film along with other biggies as they were confident about the film and thought the festive season would help. Nandamuri Kalyanram, who had a decent hit with 118 also pinned hopes on this film. Though the film is a remake of Gujarati hit film ‘Oxygen’, the makers have made enough changes to the original. Satish Vegesna, who tasted success with Shatamanam Bhavati had to face a disaster in the form of Srinivasa Kalyanam. He is good at portraying emotions, but everything backfired in Entha Manchivadavura. He has shown too much of emotions in the film that it bores you to death. The concept of supplying emotions itself isn’t so exciting and we don’t connect to it much as it looks artificial. Hero keeps helping everyone in need of relation and so literally if you have to imagine the movie, imagine hero helping everyone as a son, as a brother, as a nephew, as a grandson. So, there is no story except hero playing different roles with different characters.

How many times do we have to see the same films being remade in different forms? This movie offers nothing new and can easily be skipped.
