He bumps into this girl Lahari (Kalyani Priyadarshan) and falls in love with her. Due to some differences between them they will break up and Vijay continues to pursue his dream. He pitches his idea to Nivetha Pethuraj who works at company that is investing in young talent. Rest of the story is about how Vijay convinces senior management to take up his project? Will they agree? Will Vijay ever tastes success in his life? Will he win his love back?
Sai Dharam Tej, who is going through very rough phase has chosen to do a film that has slice of his life as the character. He had 6 flops from last few years and is eagerly waiting for a hit. Mythri Movie Makers, who had tasted blockbusters success initially also had consecutive flops and want to deliver a hit and bounce back. Kishore Tirumala, who delivered a blockbuster with Nenu Sailaja has chosen a good story and cast but failed to execute it right. There is no emotional connect to the film and you will never connect to the characters of the film. Dialogues are very sensible and will connect to youth. Sai Dharam Tej gave one of the best performances till date and the other two heroines were just okay. Posani was at his usual best and he nailed it. Sunil and Vennela Kishore brings some laughs. Overall, Chitralahari is an honest attempt that went wrong. Sai Dharam Tej’s wait for a hit continues..
