Mani Ratnam Pulls Off A Difficult Feat in Hyderabad

Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan Hyderabad schedule wrapped. Mani Ratnam has pulled off the impossible amidst the pandemic by shooting some big sequences of the film involving a huge cast. This also includes the shooting of a crucial war sequence.

The final portions of the magnum opus are to be shot in Jaipur. The movie is a historical drama based on Ponniyin Selvan, a Tamil novel by writer Kalki, which traces the life of the great Chola emperor Arulmozhi Varman. The promotions of the film will begin very soon.

Mani Ratnam often termed this Project as his Dream Project and is making it on a large canvas. Produced by Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions, AR Rahman is composing the music for the film and Ravi Varman cranks the camera. The movie which has an ensemble of the cast will hit the marquee in the first quarter of 2022.
