6 Crore Loss for Vikram’s Saamy?

Chiyaan Vikram’s Last Week Release, Saamy – the Sequel of the Original of Lakshmi Narasimha is heading towards a massive disaster. The movie has got the worst possible talk right from its noon shows. The First Weekend collections of the movie in Andhra Pradesh and Nizam will come around 1.78 Crore and the film will end close to 2 Crore.¬†Auraa Cinemas and Pushyami Film Makers bagged the Andhra Pradesh and Nizam Rights of the film. They reportedly spent a whopping Eight Crore on the rights which is quite a gamble on the hero who has no proper hit from 2004.

After the sensational success of Aparachithudu in 2004, Vikram failed to keep it up with his later films. The movie collecting just 2 Crore Share will mean that it will be a massive loss venture. Almost all of his recent films, with the exception of Inkokadu to some extent, have failed to make money in this decade. The makers have pinned all their hopes on director Hari of the ‘Singham’ series fame and heroine Keerthy Suresh, too but things did not help. They have to blame themselves as well for this mishap as the promotions of the film are very disappointing as many do not even know the movie is releasing.
